HI,
My Berg is leaking coolant out of the weep hole.
I have read lots about the Orangeberg seal kit, with everyone saying they work awesome.

Could someone please tell me how to get my hands on one.

Thanks

pm orangeberg here or one of the other Oz members will surely have some contact details

I believe the Orangeberg seal kit addresses oil leaking from the water pump shaft.
It does not address coolant leaking.

I don't have the kit so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I've addressed the leak by installing a new factory seal, o-ring and bearing which has a seal on one face. A dab of silicone sealant where the coolant seal resides fixed the leak. In other words, coolant was making its way around the outside of the coolant seal. Ned37 had this same problem.

mines done about 50hours on orangebergs w/pump kit ,& so far so good,no milky stuff coming out of weep hole or the other way, coolant in oil.it is a smaller bearing though,so obviously the replacement bearing is not going to last as long as the original one.i'm thinking replace the bearing at maybe 60 hours just in case.
..weed..

Great. Thanks for all the help guy's.

Ill get hold of one and see how it goes. My bike has only done just over 30hrs and its gone already.

Any tips on a good coolant to use?

Cheers

As said above the john seal kit is only for oil weeping not water, just replace water seal with a new one as they have a blue back this is new but dab some three bond on it to eliminate any water going around the back of the seal. Orange bergs kit installed on mine the other day only used it for less than 100km no oil from water pump hole while i was at it replace the water seal just in case no water leaks. Make sure you hold kick start shaft when removing clutch case.

HI BERGPILOTS
its ORANGEBERG and im using my home name of madberg as i cant find my work password, to busy at work to respond to anything,
latest update on my ORANGEBERG seal kit is taking place now we are working on a slightly different design which will incorporate a longer life for rallye participants etc.
we should have some samples in 2 weeks.
The website www.orangehusaberg.com will include the new design but they wont be available for a few weeks.
thanks for the support in the product and whilst some things have changed in our business structure we are still going strong and now we can spend more time fixing problems for you without me being silenced by the companies that i could not upset .

im back ORANGEBERG

gday popup i just completed 5000km on my own bike and it just started leaking a bit, that includes finke desert race , condo 750, yellow mountain, hattah desert race, sunny corner, and a few rides out west at cobar, if yours was installed carefully you should be ok for a while but we can still provide parts or offer the new bigger bearing upgrade which is coming
soon. we originally developed the kit so that berg motard riders could just get through scrutineering let alone being kicked of the track after practice with an oil leak, now we are increasing the size of the bearing. whichever you decide you only need to contact me for full assistance, $75 worth of full synth oil would have run down your clutch cover by now had you not converted it let alone your mates takin the piss.

ORANGEBERG

John
Hope i get a cheap upgrade after only getting mine the other week for my motard.
Thanks Glenn

Ps mine has a small weep coming from the engine cases under the crank ever seen this before? Used a bit of silicon stop it for one ride.

Mine leaked from the case joint form new, made a mess. Suttos fixed the second time they split the cases under warranty. Pics in my gallery.

Ah, the joy of owning a Husaberg... Now mine is leaking oil out the weep hole also. First it was water now oil. I guess I'm due for Orangeberg's kit and a new seal and o-ring.

Will I damage anything if I run it like this until the kit arrives?

I got ORANGEBERG's kit. What kind of bearing puller/press do I need to use to get the old bearing out? Any tricks to doing it or just some elbow grease?

remove the water seal then whack the old bearing out. if you want to re use the old bearing heat the case to about 100deg and tap it lightly on a wooden surface covered in paper, bearing should just fall out.

the instructions for the old kit are very good, pay particular attention to pressing in the bearing flush with the housing lip this is where things could go wrong. i got 60 hours out of mine but on a closer second look there was a dab or dribble of paint on my housing that meant my bearing was not properly alinged.

I made an ***** proof setup for personal use :D with an ally insert that bottoms out in the cover so I know its aligned and it takes an 8mm wide 5Kn bearing. the OEM bearing is a 7.2Kn C3 with a TN9 code, plastic cage for vibrations.
