Water coming out of breather in head

I just put a new (refurb) head on my FE 400. It started right up, and sounds good, but it's pumping water out of the weep hole that is in the head. This hole appears to be a small hole that leads to the cam bearing between the two O-rings that separate the oil side from the water side. I put new O-rings on and everything else appears to be fine. What did I do wrong? What do I need to do to take care of the problem?

Thanks.

You say you put on new o-rings, did you replace the seals? And, if so, did you put them in correctly? The gutter/open side/side with the little spring looking thingy should face the coolant. This will force the coolant up against that springy thing and seal on the shaft. If you put them on backwards, you might get a leak.

I was told KTM has a bulletin out where they want you to apply sealer to the orings as well. That might be worth a try, especially if the sealing surface is worn.

seal

i have never changed my o rings but always apply a minor quantity of gasket sealant, always works-never had a leak

The same stuff you are sealing the rocker cover with.
I guess I should ask you what you plan to seal the rocker cover with?
