Just a whoe for ebay UK and buying fuel pump.
The pump itself works just fine but comes in a kit with a hose. The hose is not submersible! I got stranded in the woods and had to do the walk of shame. I gave the seller a fair chance to explain but it was all judder.

Me: "Just want to let you know the fuel hose you supplied in the kit is NOT submersible. Got stranded in the woods and when I finally got home and inspected the hose core had separated from the outer shell and popped loose from the pump."

Answer:"Hi, the fuel hose we offered is very short, it's for some other bikes. You can reuse your original longer flex hose, it's better quality then the rubber hose we supplied. The fuel pump we sent you should be fitted without problem."

Pump is good but never anticipate the hose is good, its not in this case.
I answered him (in vain most likely) So the hose supplied is for an outside application with that pump?? I told him youd be better off NOT including a hose and avoid misleading buyers, and Id have found the adquate item on my own.
**** seller, just crawl to the cross already...Im as pissed as you might think

there have been a few posts like this on DBW as well

20 years ago general purpose fuel line could have been good enough, not any more they must use melted toothbrushes for the rubber

Same thing happened to me but it was a fuel pump from high flow in the states, I'm feeling your pain.
I replaced my fuel line with a quality transmission fluid hose after testing it in a tub of fuel for a couple of weeks, hasn't missed a beat since.

thanks guys! Its all good now using a submersible fuel line Im familiar with. I suggested theyd be better off if they didnt supply a hose at all, no reply, what a shock

When I was about to replace the fuel pump, one of my friend was there and he told me that the hose didn't look like one that can be submersible. I bought a piece of quality Trellborg tube and replaced it before installing.

Everything fine on mine.
