Is it just me, or is anyone else excited about the rumor that the mothership of motor cycling engineers (ie BMW) has released its "pre-production" model 450cc in various WEC events throughout europe and possibly the A4DE, with none other than Mr Joel Smets as its pilot? Does the world stop? Or, should we keep our eyes fixed on Mr Merriman and team Aprilia? Daggers or stones appreciated.

i dunno cypher, but i think at this stage bmw has both a very fragile bike as well as a fragile rider. i wish smets well, but he might be better served heading toward the front office. its good that these mfrs are getting in the game, tho.
