WANTED - rear hub or wheel

Hi all

Todays ride finished sooner, as it can be seen

My bike is a 02 400, I'm looking for one used rear hub or complete wheel. If someone has one please post.

From what I've read here at UHE, the KTM for 01-08 will fit, but the 01-02 are no good. Could someone confirm this info ?

I have a spare hub/wheel for my 600 hundred zaga if it works i could send you some pics, ill give you a deal too

It doesn't fit, those are the old ones, I also have spare wheels for my 600, but it needs to be after 2000.

what is so different about an old wheel??
i have used the rear wheel off my 94 600 on my 02 650 and it was a straight swap. i used the 94 spacers aswell .

hi zaga

if i remember right its the front that changes through the years with a bigger axle but the back is the same .
i have even used a 19" rear wheel from a 95 cr250 with only a change of spacers the sprocket and disc lined up perfect and the axle was the same size ( but this was only when i was really desperate lol )

I am pretty sure kris650berg is right, my spare spare is from a 1994 something or other with a 20mm axle just like the 1997 600, i thought they used this size well into mid 2000's at least, you may ask why i have so many spare back wheels, i also frequently ask myself this same question :? i think if you try it you will find its a straight swap for the wheel but i did think that the spacing was slightly differnt for the newer swingarms but i could be wrong

Hi

I took some measurements and I don't think that, to do it right, its a strait fit.

From what I've seen the overal width with spacers, the old one is 4,5 mm shorter and the distance between the sprocket and the branke disk, is also 4,5 mm shorter.

So, since the sprocket is in the right position I will make two 4,5 mm spacers, one for the axel and one for the disk.

Hope this will keep me riding until I find another wheel or hub.

So I've made two steel spacers

One for the disk - 146 X 112 X 4,5 [mm]

Other for the axis - 40 X 20,5 X 4,5 [mm]

It looks like a perfect fit

Now I can keep riding and searching for a hub !

I've looked on the parts manual and the rear hubs are <00 , 00 - 02 , 03 -08
Can someone tell me if we can change between the 02 and the 03 without great problems?

So I took it for a ride. No problem, the old wheel works perfect.

Just a couple of things I did before that, the sprocket bolts were too close from the arm, for me to be comfortable, so made some changes

and some double bolts and permanent fix glue, just in case

One final thing, the disk spacer could have 1mm more of thickness, but no problem like this
