Hey all!, please take this as my vote for a videos section on http://www.husaberg.org/ i have plenty of lame vids i am happy to post to break the ice, i put this one in 'the lighter side' because i dont take myself too seriously....

This is my new FC 550 (2001) going for a few minute blat in the back paddock behind my place in suburban Kangaroo Island. I'm loving the FC so much, im dreaming about her...

Hey weed, yeah its a beauty!! arent those exhausts the gear!! love it!

Picked it up from a cattle farmer who used to live here on Kangaroo Is, but moved off... it is actually the husaberg that I first rode, and made my mind up to get my own.

no one will spot it, but it has Finke desert race stickers from a run in 2002.

BTW have you seen or heard of Wal, I havent seen him around for a while, I know you are from roughly the same corner of the country.

yeah azza i go riding with wal,probably once a month roughly.
last ride we done was a couple of weeks ago over fraser island,it was a beauty 8) .i will have to send some pics in when i get it all together.
poor buggers been head down bum up doing a diploma in building surveying as well as having a full time job & trying to keep up with his young lad.
i think he is about to put a new cam chain in his 550 before we go on our next adventure,but nah mate he's still around,but not so much on the berg site as late.
i suppose the 01 550 still has a delortto carb?
much difference in power between the 550's

Thanks weed, as long as the old bugger is still around - say gidday to him for me when you see him next, i'd like to say gidday to him again! I knew he was doing the building surveying - i only got it half done and couldnt take it anymore.

Yeah the '01 still has the Dell, in terms of power over the '05, some of which might be attributable to different engine, weight, gearing or whatever, it is verrrry snappy, and feels much more KTM ish than my '05, with the exception of more vibration. i cant wait to take it for a proper ride (without my license at the moment), but wont point it at any hills with its current gearing - rear sprocket doesent look much bigger than the countershaft sprocket...
