Hi all I got my self a 2004 fs650 and the vibes through the seat are pretty bad at any thing over about 2k what would be the cause/solution to this problem I've read something about a counterbalance could it have been removed ??

Thanks Dazza .

Been doing a bit of reading and I fear it may be the mains
What would be the best way to check them or is bad vibes a dead give away ?

Cherz Dazza

first check the drainplug magnet

then check if you can feel excessive Up/down movement of either end of the crank

Dazza, I'm 60 miles due west of you mate and an hour by tractor. call if you need advice but straight away I can tell you that the bikes vibrate less when they rev IF the balancer assembly has been removed. they vibrate worst at tickover.

mains is the obvious one. bugs in ma teeth is at beccles and he's just had his mains go so ride up to see him one afternoon.... there's also an excellent old member from here in Ipswich called cookeye, his son has also joined and now races the old fellas 550 but PM cookeye.
