VERY HARD STARTING FE650-02

HELLO !

MY BIKE ONLY STARTED WITH A WIRE AFTER A CAR, AND SOME TIMES AFTER 50 KICKS.
I HAVE CHECK THE HARD STARTS GUIDE. ITS LITTLE BLUE SPARK 20 KV , GOOD STATOR VOLTAGE 30V AND 1,5 ON THE OTHER.

JUSTING THE VALVES 1/8 TURN (0,10), AND CLEAN THE CARBURATOR.

ITS GOING GOOD WHEN ITS STARTED.

HAVE ANY ONE SOME IDEA ??????????????? :cry:

Have you checked the auto decomression device. Is it working and does it have the required lift.

Here is a routine that BOSS had me do that seems to work. 1 turn choke on and kick a few times, if the motor rumbles but does not start, turn the choke off and kick again. My 470 will usually start in two kicks after that. 2 If you have kicked more than five times,and the engine has not rumbled, turn the choke off and kick again.My bike will fire without the choke after five or six kicks with the choke. When you get the bike running make sure the idle mixture and speed are correct, as these are critical to starting, hot or cold. Hope this makes sense

Tell us your kick starting routine. Do you use the choke? Do you give it any throttle? Has it always been a hard starter?

Difficultly the stator diminishes the intensity of current... If the candle is good, I would orient on the carburation and therefore on the regulation of the title it of mixture... Of usual, when ago hard work to leave the motor, can be that you have the lean fuel mixture... :roll:

HARD STARTING

HELLO !

I KICK WITH CHOKE 5 TIMES AND THEN WHITEOUT, NO TROTTLE.

IT HAVE JUST BEING HARD STARTING WHEN I BUY IT, I THINK ITS WAS EASY TO FIX,

WHEN THE DECOMPESSION WIRE IS ACTIVATED ITS LIKE TO KICK A 125 CC, AND WHEN I NOT LET THE KICK GO UP TO THE TOP ITS EASY TO (NOT LIKE MY OTHER YAMA XT 600).

BUT I SUSPECT THE IGNITION, ITS WILL NOT EVEN START WITH STARTGAS... :?

When running does it "pop back" on overrun, ie when you close the throttle? If so i'd suspect valve clearance, it's an easy thing to get slightly wrong. My 400 and 550 both start first kick now hot or cold, but as to be a good kick and took LOTS of playing with to get there... ***
