Hi i have husaberg fe 501e (2000): http://www.motot.net/galleria/kuvat/kay ... 165918.jpg
half year ago it started to twitch when i gave a bit more gas and finally it stopped working.

spark was very small after that and now there is no spark at all. so do you anyone have some kind of values of that ignition coil and stator so we can measure them. all help is needed

and sry my bad english :DD

they really do not have a specified tests for the coil other than to test it with a known good one.

stator values are listed in the 'owner doc' section of the site on the left left corner of the home page. they are in the eletricla section i beleive.

welcome to UHE. would help if just for the first time you said where you are from?

the values of the stator are

green to black - 165
red to black - 2,700

it is the red to black that fails on them.

I sell them as a reconditioned exchange item sir.

regards

Taffy

okay so i measured the stator

Values what i got:

yel/yel (+) - blu (-) = 1,1 and 1,1 . right value was <1,0 Ohm
red (+) - blk (-) = 3,41 kOhm (+13,67%) and +-10% 3,0 kOhm was right value but 1 minute after that i got 3,18 kOhm
grn (+) - blk (-) = about 164 - 171 Ohm. right value +-10% 168 Ohm

so what do you guys think?

Sparks always suggests that you hold the HT lead without the cap on it 10mm from the cylinder head and then kick the engine over. the spark should jump the gap.

if it can't make a spark jump the gap then I suggest that you are getting 'spurious readings'.

you can try the usual stuff like a new plug, plug cap and better connections but really_ you need to swop with someone who has a good one as a last and correct route of action.

Taffy

i testet that without the cap and the spark didn´t jump longer than about 5 mm.

i dont know anyone here who would have working sem coil

Hi everyone - still here just been a bit busy.

Its my lights - bike starts off the kick really well but the lights are so weak now the back light can hardly be seen with the reflector on. Horn gone also.

Is this a stator issue ....AGAIN... or could it be something else.

If stator can you explain how to test in real lay man talk..ie keep everything connected - stick one prong of meter into x and the other in Y...

Want to get it road legal again (been doing a lot of mx track days recently) - may just go day time MOT but prefer to have the old bird fully working.

ESP AS NO MORE BERGS ...KEEP THE OLD ONES GOING - BE COLLECTORS ITEMS SOON.

I can't think why you'd have weak lights except a poor connection or earth if things can't earth they go like that?

it won't be your stator. the stators only EVER fail on the ignition timing coil/winding.

we're doing two days green laning on the 6/7 July. day one is from Kings Lynn to Sunny Hunny and a 120 mile loop. I'm leading and there are 4 Kent TRF lads and a few more with me. get your arse up there..... Sunday is the Thetford loop.

regards

Taffy

Cheers Taff - best I get earth hunting - do the fork seals - get the MOT & see you all on 6th July.

finally i got that new stator (last week) spark is stronger and now it jumps without the cap about 1cm. but it is still not working (?) maybe timing? many times when i have kicked the piston strikes about 3-6 times and then it dies. i changed spark plug and the cap.

Hi

If you have spark now I would go to carb, it's the dellorto that you have correct ? have you check the carb yet ?

If she is trying to start like you say, try raise the idle a bit, sometimes it works.

Hi,

This seems to be old thread but I will try my luck.

I have also Husaberg fe 501 but it is from 1999. I had problems getting spark but somehow it started to work when I cleaned stator and checked wirings but in my opinion spark should be better and stator values was incorrect: RED to BLK 1,32 kOhm, GRN to BLK 165 Ohm and YEL to BLU = 0.9 Ohm.

I ordered new stator with following values: RED to BLK 3 kOhm, GRN to BLK 160 Ohm. After I ordered new stator I got my bike working and started to think that is that stator even right one which is coming due my current values are totally different (RED-BLK). So did I order wrong stator or do I need even new one? New stator model is ST5410L and I ordered it from Carmo electronics.

I started to look into other stators and found this one: Improved Stator for SEM Replacement Husaberg Husqvarna European Models 1999-2003 with following values: BLK to GRN 179 Ohm +/-20% RED To BLK = 1260 ohms +/-20%. This stators values seems to be almost the same as I have now so should I cancel my stator order from Carmo and try to find out problem from somewhere else if same problem occurs?
