USFS Approved Spark Arrestor for 01 to 03

I found someone with an exhuast silencer that was USFS approved for the 01 thur 03 bikes. This is the only place I could find one.

They don't make one for the FE model.

Funny,

I was just on that site looking at the BG exhaust the other day... What I'm not sure about is that if the slip on will fit the stock mid-pipe or not. If someone knows for sure please elaborate... Also, if I'm not mistaken the '04 is the same fit as the '01-'03 but w/ the USFS etching. I want to try an enduro or two, but the folks out here are pretty specific about the USFS markings, even though the '03 exhaust has a sparky in it...

My 01 has a pipe into a pipe type of fit, whereas my 04 has this ball and socket type of fit.
According to the parts book, the ball and socket started in 02.

I took my 04 over to the kistler brothers out here in the OC and had them put a pipe into a pipe type of connection on it as the ball and socket never did seal all that well.

After looking through the parts books I think you guys might need the one listed below. What do you think?

I just tried to install the Big Gun on my 03 and it does not fit, it has the pipe over pipe fitting.

So cut the end off of your old muffler and the big gun and weld your stock piece onto the big gun and you're done.
