Use of loctite on subframe etc?

Is it necessary? I'd be nervous id twist out the metal inserts.

Just wondering if people use loctite and where?

I like to use silicon/gasket maker aka rvt. You can put some on the screw and just tighten past hand tight.

Life is good!

DO NOT USE LOCTITE! I've never used it yet but my experience with those metal inserts in the tank or the subframe ones are easy enough by themselves to strip out.

I use blue locktite everywhere.....I don't soak the bolt in it or anything though, a little line lengthways down the bolt, never had an issue with stripping out anything, of course not over tightening has a huge impact as well so always torque everything is also key....whatever you use. silicone or likewise. just make sure you use something or the bolts will loosen if not fall out due to the vibes....if you don't want to use it on aluminum subframes with rivnuts that's fine silicone would work im sure, I haven't had an issue with locktite on them though personally, maybe ive just been lucky

I use a liberal dose of high quality anti seize on all of the 8mm bolts on the sub frame bolts, threads, and the angled part of the head of the bolt.

Be especially careful not to over tighten the two bolts that go into the cross tube. The stock bolts and threads are really not long enough to begin with as they strip easy, or get stuck easy. These are the two bolts on either side in the middle of the black horizontal bracket. If you do run into a situation where you can only get one of these bolts out, spread this bracket while turning the spinning bolt. The cross through tube on the main tank will draw out, and there is a flat that you can get a 13mm on to hold it to remove the bolt. I ended up drilling this tube on both sides, and inserting a heli-coil so I could use a 30mm bolt.

Other than the sub frame I use a little blue loctite everywhere else.
