Pictures added to my gallery of our news cranks and rods.
Crank is 80mm stroke, direct replacment for OEM bell crank. Crank is billet machined from ASi 4340 and cyanide harden and ground. Threads on drive side increased from M16 x 1 to M24 x 1.25 to stop them stripping, which they do on OEM. Minor mods to design of bell halves to give a 7% increase in stiffness when simulated in Solidworks 2009 Cosmos FEA package. Rod is JBS wider and stronger as can be seen, approx' 130% strength of OEM rod in FEA simulation.
