Well, I will start by saying that I was flying around a corner, my chain flew off the back sprocket and wrapped around the small sprocket, thus causing the bike to stall. I was able to later un-wrap the chain. Later, I had my kick starter off, went to put it back on and the bolt head broke off. No having fun yet?
So, I said, "No problem, I still have electric start." I turned the motor over and the bike started. A few moments later it shut down. I began to try the electric start again and it seems like something is not turning over right in the engine case.

The last off my problems are finding a Husaberg mechanic in Maryland, USA.
Anyone know of a good bike mechanic in Maryland who can work on these bikes?

1999 Husaberg FS600E (Mint condition, less a little engine difficullty)

you can still kickstart it though?

point is, you have a job to do so you may as well got on with it before worrying about starting it. as a mechanic you sound dangerous you me!

regards

Taffy

Thanks

Thanks Taffy!! I felt bad enough by myself!!! The thing about the kick starter is that it gets hung up and does not come back up after it is kicked. But, then when I turn the key, it turns over.
Oh, well. I just wonder if the chain stopping the engine at that high of a speed would have damaged anything.

I wonder if it was the other way around. The engine locked and threw the chain :-k
Either way it sounds like it needs to come apart.

It didn't bust anything around the engine case when the chain came off the front? With a large front sprocket there is very little clearance.
