Unreliable KTM suppliers USA

Posting this as a warning for other Husaberg riders and KTM riders seeking parts from the US
Sent an order to Cycle Hut a KTM dealer in Sturgis South Dakota for some KTM common parts with my 2005 Husaberg 650 in April this year. Paid for the parts in advance and still haven't received most of the parts.

I tried these guys because they advertise to be the No.1 KTM parts dealers in the USA and I thought it would be safe to go with a supplier of this size. Apparently this is not the case. Just to make it crystal clear this was for 2 black front fenders and a Husaberg front headlight and other bits and pieces so its not like it was a frame or a complete motor or anything difficult to ship. I have called the shop 3 times the latest being 10:07am Friday 15th of September but can only leave a message on the answering machine.
The non supplier is:

I would try Bergparts.com. I have ordered from them many times and have never been disappointed. I will way that my bike is a 2011 and maybe that has something to with it but I will tell you that they do answer their phone.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have notified KTM head office as I was sick to the gills with the lack of response and when I couldn't get through on the phone (mind you I was ringing at 2 and 3am Sydney time to catch Sturgis time of 10am -11am) I just blew it.

Since then, and to the guys credit that I have been trying to reach, I did get an email saying that it was due to supplier changes and parts will be sent .

So I reserve my internet judgement for a little while longer. :?

I don't know why anyone would purchase from them, they have the highest prices, have limited stock ( except for Tshirts), over charge for shipping, and if your item is larger than a front number plate you'll get whacked an oversize fee.

I've order parts for many years and Mike's Cycle supply in Louisiana has almost always had the parts and have excelent service, if you call with the part numbers you get an automatic discount.

No, don't reserve your judgement. You are having smoke blown up your backside. When I got my first KTM 3 yrs ago I made the mistake of ordering from these guys...got the same run around. A buddy down the street just finished getting this same run around last week. If you go to the dealer section at KTMTalk you will find a shiteload of the same story.

The only way out is to cancel your order and request a refund for the parts not received. I guarantee that you will have to go through your credit card company to actually get that refund. These Hutt-tards are playing slow and loose with COD on their orders and get further and further behind. I can't believe that they are actually still in business.

Then go to munnracing.com and order your stuff.

+1 for Munnracing. Never had a single issue with them. Always have my parts in 4-5 days.........

I have used Cycle Hut for years and have never had a problem with anything.
I have the same problem as you though. I ordered some KTM straps and glove a month ago.
The gloves shipped but there was a delay in the straps.
Several emails I sent about it were unanswered and the phone is a joke, connects to extension 100, leave a message, lol.
Trying to comment on this board required me to register and when I went to the email to verify, there was a response from KTM Hutt saying the straps had just got in and they were being shipped .
Not sure if KTM is having issues or what.

X 2 for Cycle Buy. Excellent service and fast shipping. I always phone them to make sure they have in stock what I'm ordering from there web site.

Smith's Powersports near Pittsburgh, PA and Five Star Cycles in Saegerstown, PA are both excellent. I don't think you can easily order parts online but if you call, these folks will take great care of you. Prices on parts are good.

x3 on Cyclebuy.com. They all ride, they have a well organized, accurate site and they support the sport. Prices are as low or lower than others and I also like the way they are right on front page with where they are located and contact information is easy to find too. I hate the websites that hide that information. They are happy to talk bikes and what you want and need. No connection, I have just done a good bit of business with them.

My name is Aryn, I am the sales manager at CycleBuy. I appreciate the nice words and it is a pleasure to work with all of you guys. Just so you are aware Husaberg has now made all of the older spare parts books available online at husaberg.com They are under the service/information area. If you can't find them just send me an email at [email protected] and I will email it to you. Remember to tell me year and model.

Thanks to all those that have made comment to my original post.

I am a pretty busy guy (as most people are) and I also tend to give people way way to much benefit of the doubt.
I have a sent email box with dozens of emails to these Cyclehutt guys and it wasn't till I rang two or three times that I got through. I was promised the parts in super quick time and got a number of apologies from the guy.
That was on the 28th of September I have not had any reply.
Original order was paid for in full on the 18th of April 2012 thats more than 6 months ago  .

DO NOT USE THIS SUPPLIER, EVER

They do not deserve in any way to be in business with the 0 service I have received. If you feel inclined pass on this note to anybody that may have reason to care.

Hello to All,

To end this sad, sad story and to keep my wording fair and civil on this post I have finally received the remainder of my parts from this company Thursday the 31st of January 2013.

I placed my order just prior to transfering funds on the 18th of April 2012. :cuss: YES THATS RIGHT 2012 !!!

CYCLEHUTT STURGIS HAVE TAKEN 9 MONTHS TO DELIVER $350 WORTH OF BASIC PARTS.

Regards to All.

PS. There are no words that I can type here that can aptly describe the complete waste of my LIFE that this excercise has been and I refuse to waste 1 more second on this after the following full stop.

I feel your frustration. Although there has been a long standing thread over on KTMtalk citing the same problems with many people chiming in. Mostly negative toward Cycle Hutt. Just saying, although I have no personal experience there.

guys i used offroadboss.com thoes guys were awesome 2 weeks to get over 150 parts together and HALF the price of any one in Aus!! shipping was fantastic, they delivered for free to a freight forwarder I decided to use (commgateway) if you need stuff for your berg use these guys they are the best!!

Ditto on OffRoadBoss, Rick and Tammy have always been fantastic. Knowledgeable and quick, fast delivery.
