Under seat fuel bottle

I have an aluminum fuel bottle in the works now. It is partially tacked together for now so I could check the fit.
Its probably around a 1/2 gallon. I will measure after welding. It fits nice and snug and I have it secured 3 different
ways. It clears the shock by 1/2 inch or so and if needed I will dent that area more later. I already dented it there
today. I will use an MSR fuel bottle top as you will see in the picture that I have taped on the bottle overly tall just to make sure it is going to clear. I thought about putting the top on the side as you see in the pictures but the one
on the right side of the bike I will go with because its tucked in.

Ok, but why don`t you use the original Husaberg parts subframe fuel tank (part no. H16019901)? It also carries 2,8 litres and comes with all hoses, etc... for fitting.

A couple of reasons mxdoctor.
I don't always need the extra fuel and will use the space for a water bottle like I have been doing.
For a long trip I will go with the fuel there and water in the backpack.
I am a Painter/Bodyman by trade so this is fun and easy for me to experiment with.
And I save a little money doing it.

Now that I have gotten into welding aluminum it seems fun to create more cool stuff.
What I was thinking was to make an aluminum fuel tank from the pattern of my 05.
To make it in aluminum at my desired caacity like 3 gallons so it wouldn't look too mofus.
To basically copy the 05 tank, but enlarge in strategic areas to add volume and at the same time
keeping my 05 shrouds. Of course its possible, but of then many details would need to be worked
out along the way.
But I can picture it.
An aluminum tank and with 05 shrouds slightly larger than the 06 upgrade.
And there must be a way to make the size look the most appealing

The fuel bottle has been finished. It holds 70 ounces. It goes in one way and is strapped down 3 different ways.
It clears the shock nicely and I have some stickers rapped around the frame where it might rub.
I have some pictures. I also use a water bottle there more often, but when I need a longer ride this fuel bottle will
give me almost 20 miles more.
