Unable to bleed clutch on FE 450

Hi all, I just put in a new output cylinder for the clutch due to a hairline crack in the cylinder cover, I put in all new cylinder, o'rings, cover and bleeder nipple. I have tried to bleed the clutch by removing the bleeder nipple and using a syringe to fill and push the air back through the line up to the reservoir. the problem is that i get up that much pressure that the fluid runs back past the plunger on the syringe without any fluid getting to the reservoir. I did notice a kink mark in the clutch line so I was wondering if that would be blocking the flow of the fluid back to the reservoir even though the line is still straight.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. was hoping to ride this weekend but all gone to **** now LOL :furious:

well first things first, remove the line and blow through to check that it is clear!

also blow back through the master cylinder as well and blow out a tiny 0.5mm hiole in the reservior.

check the lever is unhindered by the handguards etc. fluid must be able to go up and out of the pipeline.

with the pipe refitted, you now want the nipple back on the slave. you need to push the fluid up the line through the nipple.

it might pay to leave the piston of the slave on the outside edge and then screw it on the engine....

Just a late update Taffy, it was the lever just touching the gurd, thanks heaps for the insight.
