whato fraser!
this must have disappeared off the radar just before i got my 'puter back. yes i found out today from jill grover, 'they' are very happy with the set up. essebtially they've had some meetings and as of about 6 weeks ago DCR lost the importership and KTM uk do it.
all parts are ordered directly from austria and more or less there the next day via courier. prefect english at the other end of the phone.
there are now only 5 dealers in the UK:
grays of london
gary grover
ss motorcycles
mid-west
and DCR himself.
it's to be hoped that residual values will start to creep up which i know is an international problem but also a particularly big one here in the UK where DCR has been shipping bikes in from anywhere he can get them and doing the old "stack 'em high - sell 'em cheap" and wrecking dealer margins and our resale values.
it's to be hoped that these dealers will have enough business to have a proper motorcycle shop set - up.
