TYRE SELECTION / CHUNKING PROBLEM

Hello, everyone.
I'm having problems with blocks ripping off my back tyre (Pirelli MT32 110/90/10).
Some side knobs have also come off the front tyre too (Michelin S12 190/90/21).
My local MX tracks are fairly soft & sandy, but also very stoney (some large stones).
I've only recently got into dirtbiking after coming from a road bike background and don't really know what tyres would be best suited to my bike (2000 FC600) and the local tracks I ride.
Priority *1 for me is tyre longevity, followed by cost & grip (there's no point buying a cheap tyre if it's not going to last!).
I've seen pairs of KYOTO??? MX tires going for cheap on ebay (£50/£60).
Has anyone used these tyres & do they last?
Any help/ advice would be appreciated.
I'm located in Scotland, so may not have access to alot of the bands available in the US / Australia.
Cheers,
MadMcNish

with an fc600 whatever tyres you use they're going be shredded pretty soon.

can't really advise what mx tyres to use as i just tend to use michelin enduro tyres. but have found that the bridgestone and metzler enduro tyres seem to last quite well whether this is the same for their mx tyres i don't know.

I have had the same experience with both tires mentioned. Right now I am trying the Michelin MS-3 in front to see if it has more durability.

Otherwise, I have found the Trelleborg 914 (maxigrip (front) and 754 (tenmasters) rear to be the most durable soft terrain tires on the market, and they work fairly well in intermediate conditions as well.

I had that problem I went to the Maxxis Maxxcross Desert IT.
The tire is stiff and a pain to change, but it grips..

I have been using an IRC M5B on my FE650e and haven't lost a knob. I have used it on pavement, gravel roads, rocky trails, sand, mud and roots. I am completely satisfied with the tire so far. A buddy of mine was also impressed with its quality of traction on the trails we ride. So, he bought one for his KTM300. I have the 140-18 he uses the 110-18.

The lugs on the 140-18 are truly impressive.

I really like the Michelin Starcross for grip....but if you hit the pavement you will lose the corners of the blocks quickly.

I like bridgestone 401 and 402 here in the rocky mountains. I get good miles out of them and they never junk. Note: my bike is a 450, probably not a good comparison.
