this winter i will work on the bike.
In particulary at the cylinderhead. What gain of horsepower i can expect??
On my former bike,i had 5 hp more all the way.
next part is DOMA exhaust.

How far can i go, around 70hp on the wheel,or is this too much stress on the carters,(sidepanels of the engine case-common problem Husqie).

Normally works this winter;
cilinderhead
std compression or a little bit more.
DOMA exhaust
balancing the crank together with the flywheel and maybe make the flywheel heavier for supermoto use.

I"d like to have some advice of the pro's among us, because this is my first Husaberg engine I am working on.

Mathieu,

If I were you, I would contact Daniel (YPVS) because he knows everything about these great engines. He was the mechanic of Christophe Bertrand. But I am sure you know that.
Succes in your quest for horsepower !
One thing is sure : you start with an advantage of about 10 HP in comparison with just about every other bike :D

Greetz,

Madero,

Have you dyno tested your bike yet? If not, the 04 with an FP exhaust system will give you 65 horses at the rear wheel. I would imagine that'll be around the same figure with the Doma.

Unless fighting for the top 10 spots, I would personally leave it at that as it has already got most of the power required to race supermoto fast.

In my humble opinion any more than 65 really does become a whole handful and will actually slow many riders down (obviously I don't know how you ride so this may not be the case at all :D )

Saves you some money for more beer too!

Cheers,
Simon

to x men i know daniel indeed from races bk supermotard. Is het mogelijk dat jij een voorliefde hebt met Husaberg.overigens met welke bike rij je nu op het moment.

to simon
Indeed 65hp for me is more than enough for supermoto.
But i ride also a few short circuits monobike, surely not to win but just for qualify.the competitors are here 2 strokes.
We have made a Honda cr 500 especially for monobike,
results 76hp SAE on backwheel and a topspeed of 235km/u on the bench.

For now i start with 59hp so i hope to gain 2-3 on cilinderhead and 3-4 on the exhaust config.so in total 64-66HP SAE on the back.It is also true when you have a too heavy modified and tuned bike you become afraid to open throttle at certain spots on the track and thats is a lot of waste of time.now 59hp and a full bike weights 127kg.(with battery)Normally i ride with 3 or 4 litre of gasoline. So that take the weight down.
