Hi,

I want to bring my berg from the town where I live to my home town, just for the summer. The trip is a 90 -100 km on highway. Would you advise it to me, or would be better to put the berg on a van and trip on four weels? I'm especially worried about problems like overheating and engine resistance...

Regards
Edoardo

Edoardo,

as long as the highway is no German "Autobahn" (with no speed limit and full throttle for a long time),
your Berg will make no problems at all.
It´s just that I wouldn´t LIKE to do this kind of ride;
I assume you´ll go to "summer-city" with a car anyway, so put her on the trailer,
or take the backroads

thanks you all for the answers guys. I still don't know what I'll do, but for sure if I'll take the trip on my bike I'll be a bit "on and off" with the throttle :)

Hi edoardo,

You wont have any problem,be sure about that.Just dont push it a lot for a long period because thats the only thing that this kind of bikes dont like to do!Just think how many km an enduro can do in a big ride!Before I bought trailer I had to drive 45 km to get on track,so these is tested... :wink: .If you have a trailer use it,but if you dont have and the only way to bring your berg there is to drive it,I can assure you that you wont have any problem.Overheating is the only think that you dont have to worry!!!Lot of air pass from your radiator in the highway.

I've used my fe400 as a weekly commuter bike, - no problems at all 100km each way. Just read on a norwegian forum about a guy travelling about 2000 km's on his 650 without any problems. Just remeber it's not a touring bike, change oil and vary your speed - have some fun. - But, then again my engine's at Taffy's at the moment ;-)!?!? Dont't think the commution is the reason though.

thanks a lot guys, I'm starting to think I'll do my trip on the bike, keeping in mind you advises ;)

cheers
