yes indeed :? , should have checked the weather forecast... got as for as the Lancashire border & dark sky, wet roads & soon after rain. Did a u-turn & made it back to sunny Wirral just before the heavens opened.... LOL

Its hammered it down here a few times, it was absolutely peshin down in the night. Its actually bright an sunny now, but you just know it wont last. Oh well, can get some good shed time in :cheers:

If weather looks OK next Sunday I'll head up there. Do you know if they still run the open day on the Sunday with 10 - 15 minute intermittent track sessions for the Supermotos?

Cheers

I know zero about Trax, never been. An its just up the road, oh the shame!! :oops:

jaymee is the one to ask, he knows all about it.

Thanks twistedgonads, good job I checked... (and turned back last Sunday...)

Turns out they don't run the regular Sunday open days any more. They are on pre-determined dates.

The next 2 being held are;

Wednesday 17th August 17:00 to 20:00

Wednesday 31st August 17:00 to 20:00

I'm doing a Ron Haslem track day on the 31st, so if dry, think I'll give the 17th a bash.

The format is the same as before;

15 minute sessions, split into (maximum) 4 groups (supermotos, go-karts, mini-motos & pit bikes), but depends on who turns up on the day (e.g. it could just be supermotos on full-time if no other groups turn up), + now we have use of the entire circuit.

Anyone else up for the 17th (weather dependant)?

Amendment: Notice this is obviously a link to a live (changing), forecast.... it's now (19:51 GMT, on 11/08/11), showing rain.... :lookslikerain:

Im there on the 17th and 31st!! anyone know if its going to be regular dates or just one offs??

It sounded from the phone call that they will be on a regular basis, but on predetermined dates.

The **** I spoke to said to just call & they will always give you the next couple of dates in the calendar.

Oh, & p.s. it's £20 per evening.

Yes it will be. When I used to go on a Sunday, folks just used to lean on the fence that runs along the access road at the side of the track (building end of the track).

p.s. you tight ***!! \:D/

:lol: Just want to spectate first, never ever done track day stuff, an the last thing i wanna do is write off me berg.

Guess im a woman, but i can live wi that :p

Your being very sensible mate. First track day I did there, they used to have the back section without tarmac (gravel), with a huge table top jump (it's gone now). First few laps & some dude gave it the berries over the jump.

He went up... & then he came down... hard. He spent the rest of his day sat in a chair mumbling, looking like a refugee wrapped in a blanket with a cup of tea while his mates had a great time.

I think its a good idea to come along & see whats going on, check out the track & then pop along another time to have a few laps. Everyone goes at their own pace anyway, so there's no pressure to push yourself too hard.

If its dry I'll be there, you'll recognize the bike (for one its a Husaberg 650 which are as rare as rocking horse sh!t anyway), but its got white 666 written all over it...

I want to have another play with my brake fluid & test further that that's working OK @ temp, but if that goes OK, I'll hopefully see you there.

Cheers

Last time I went they had a table top dirt jump, you came off a banked right hander and flicked left onto it. Fist time I'd jumped a bike it was so much fun!!

I'd say if you do come to watch, bring ur bike and leathers, u never know, you might just fancy it on the day!
