now i'd really like to know in anyone experienced the difference between the eclipse ( XENON ) and the regular ( halogen). is it worth the extra money? ( say: i'll be in the desert this march..)

I would say yes, the xenon is worth it. Especially for off road lighting.

I got the regular 70 watt , from Rocky Mt ATV for $75.00 hooked it up last night , its bright . I had a hard time hooking it up , because , its a used 450 , and previous owner . Had HId light system on bike . So my light is on /off at any time , engine does not have to be running . Doing the tailight /braklight kit soon , then a TAG !!!

I have the 70 watt halogen. I do ride mine on the street so I dont want to get pulled over and that is why I chose it. Very happy with it.

Have it on my SM and ordered another for my enduro but it's very bight and makes a huge difference, worth the pirce just for the safety aspect.

how about the 70 Watts, does the standard battery cover this?
