Hi all, hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.
My Trailtech Vapor dash seems to cut out intermittently. The unit loses all power and goes blank and then powers up again a second or two later. Total elapsed hours and odometer reading survives, thankfully, but all other readings reset to 0.
I *seems* to only happen when the bike's been taken out for a brisk ride and when I roll off the gas and 'coast' a bit in a high gear with lowish revs. It doesn't always do it but it doesn't ever seem to happen when I'm really giving it stick.
Any ideas?
This may help. For whatever reason, the unit's backlight does not illuminate when the key is turned 2 clicks to the right. However, it does illuminate if, after starting the bike with the key at 2 clicks, I then turn the key back to the left 1 click. In this position the backlight works, but it also results in the indicators flashing a lot faster than normal. On a side note, what's the difference/reason for the two 2 positions (other than off).
