Trail Tech X2 on 2011 FS570

Has anybody attempted to install a trail tech X2 on a FS570? I know they make a kit for the FE, but after contacting trail tech they said "The harnesses are a little different from each other and then the mounting is completely different." Can somebody with an FE chime in on the wiring and mounting differences?

Thanks

Forget the X2 - get the HID setup from Paul (pw). It bolts right on. Plug n' play and it looks great. Plus, Paul's a nice guy.

Did you solve the problem?

I found this how-to vid... I think the wiring are quite similar

That video isn't close to an installation on a FE 570. Completely different. I did one on my 2011 570
with the X2 HID and it was a pain in the ***, barely got it to fit. Huge loom protection issues.

Yea Paul's setup is awesome. I have both trailtech x2 hid and paul's hid.

TIGER,

will the trail tech x2 hid work on my 2011 fe570s's stock fender?

I got an X2 halogen to fit on my 11 570. Had to come back a few times with more patients just because of the confusing look of the wires and brackets, but it does plug right in after you learn what's there in the first place.

The instructions say to bend the stock bracket in half. It looked weird in the photo but it did work fine.
The light is definitely brighter than stock, but not enough for confident nightime road riding. I skipped the HID because the Halogen is so inexpensive, I thought I'd see if I ever really ride on the highway at night for more than a short trip.

I had to modify the ignition cylinder bracket by cutting and bending it, then bolting it somewhere else. Or maybe that was for the Safari tank only and not the headlight. Anyway here's a pic.
