trail tech stator/reg install

hello i,m a noobie to posting here so bear with me , i,ve just recieved the trailtech stator /reg for 06 fe550 some say it is plug and play , ok i see that the plugs match color code not then i,m leaft with 2 yellow stator outputs that look like they should plug in to a spade with 2 yellow and a spade with a white wire it all seems like it should work reading over the stock wireing diagram just want to know if anyone else has installed this and am i going the correct way, or am i going to let the smoke out . thank you
 
Hello bergites i have just installed the trail tech stator # s-8300-05 /reg #7003-0020 on a 06 fe550 a few sniped yellow wires some solder a fuse and 12 volt power all around 13.5v to13.8v at no load hi beam on and brake just under 13v it all works well reg plugs to old reg plug stator also very close to trail tech instructions for ktm 4 strokes it took about 2 hrs, with not getting any replys i threw caution to the wind and its all good :cheers:
 
Well done. I've thought about one of these because of the flat battery sysndrome with the fan on my 650, but no action. Nice to know it works.

hello have since added fan kit and no trouble on the last ride fan came on in the tight stuff as it sapposed to ,weather permitting sat/sun well give some more results so far so good, keep smilin

hello bergites stator update 250 /300 miles since install, electric vest on and fan cycling due to the wet and cold weather, last ride had deep snow and rain combined with the slow hi rev slog threw the snow covered roads and trails gave the charging system a work out it always started and fan came on and vest was warm , in a nut shell great easy upgrade keep smilin [attachment=0:1heifxtz]1970_1104husaberg0001.JPG[/attachment:1heifxtz]
