Trail Tech Ignition Map Switch

I have great respect for the guys at Trail Tech for how they handled a minor little problem of mine. Had a very nice conversation with the owner and would gladly give them more business. BUT the answer you got from them is different than the description of everyone else's switch. It is almost like they are confusing the 3 way switch with the pre-FI ktms. On those stock was the aggressive setting, unplugged or switched was mild. You could always unplug your switch and measure the resistance of the 3 settings and compare your results to what was figured out in the long 70 degree racing switch tread.

I was planning on getting a TT switch but not until this is sorted out.

Sorry, no I have not measured them. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not even sure how to do this. If it is easy and you can tell me how, I'll gladly do it as I'm very curious. I should have probably just asked the Trail Tech guy to let me know this information when I had him on the phone... I suppose that is the other option and you could just lob a call into Trail Tech since it sounds like you are better versed on this subject and then let us all know.

PM sent on how to check and just sent an email to the owner of TT to check out this thread.

Talked with Chris at TT friday. He said their testing showed the stock unplugged position is the hottest ignition map but they are doing more testing and should get to the bottom of this by the end of the year/first of next year.

I went ahead and bought the Sicass plugs this weekend while picking up my lighting wiring harness.

Hi All
Im selling a Trail tech map switch for ktm 2011250 SXF and have had a buyer ask me if it will fit on a 2013 350 berg. I assume it will but i see mention here that the connection is behind the headlight. Can anyone confirm if it will work??

if you look in race reports and Taff's last racing season you'll see there that someone has fitted a 350 KTM to a Husey and with a little work it was just fine. I believe he made a new connector.

regards

Taffy

A question about the trail tech switch. I want one but I am unclear on what will work for my 09 berg570. A lot of adverts say switches for 2010 and newer. I have an 09 fe 570. Was there any changes to the switch from 09 to 2010?

Still no answer? I have called international moto sports and he seemed uninterestered in the question so screw them. E-bay cant be trusted. So... Are the switches the same from 09 on or not?

There is no difference between the Map Switch on a 2009 and 2010 model on a 570, 450 or 390.

What does that mean Taffy? I have been looking for an answer for this question from Husaberg dealers. They have had no deffinate answer so I have refrained from buying one sight unseen. Apparently you are high on your horse. I will never buy anything from you.
Regards
**** you.

Thank you Davo. Finally an answer. It's hard to find a dealer that seems to give a crap about a 60 dollar switch. Apparently taffy has his head up his English ***.

Tell me taffy why dealers advertise switches for 2010+ but not the 2009? Simple question for dealers but no one seems to have an answer. So screw you. I would never buy anything from overseas that is not going to be right. Get it right or overseas buyers just won't buy from you. You are probably sleeping right now because I am halfway around the world from you but screw your attitude and I will buy my parts from someone else.
Regards
*** wipe.

but you were never going to get that part from me anyway?

Davo gave a SIMPLE explanation for you because you are simple OK? :D :D

so now you have your answer you can get on your high horse and stick it on 'oats'.

Taffy

That's not true. I just answered 09Bergs question cause I knew the answer. Reading his posts I think he seems fairly intelligent and a good bloke.

Thank you Davo. I even e-mailed Trail Tech and got a response that they did not make a switch for the 2009. Sorry for the simple question but I appreciate the answer from a friendly Husa brother.
