Chew me if necessary, but I'm curious. All 2001 models had the same ignition kits (250 272-01) except the FSc (250 272-02) according to the parts manuals.
All 2002 models had the same ignition kits (250 285-01) except the FSc (250 286-01). Note these part numbers are different to the 2001 ones. Why the difference? I'm assuming different advance curves but probably wrong.

BUNDYBEAR,no chewing here,my 01 470 fc had lighting,
so did my 02 fc 470.On any sem ignition if there is two yellow
& one blue wire you have 130 watt capability.I think they reserve
the right to change without notice a.the price book say's the
250-286-01 & 250-202-02 are the same, they say ignition comp.
fsc,fc 02.the 250-286-01 does not have lighting so nor would
250-202-02.I'm sure the advance curve is done through the coil,
thus why there are so many.All stators look the same except
250-286-01.I put a 250-285-01 on a 92 501,had to change grommet
on wire & connecters started & ran fine,stator is more expensive
but thats what i had in stock.
