Forgive me if I've failed to find this in previous posts....

but,

Can someone point me to the correct torques for the clutch cover and "pressure plate" bolts?

It's a 2010 FE450 by the way.

Thanks.

I was also dissapointed to not find this in the owners manual, I would consider the clutch inspection a maintenance item. Anyways I have had my cover off and clutch in and out numerous times, I tightened the pp bolts till good and tight, clutch cover I just tightened till snugg as the cover is wafer thin. Hopefully someone with a shop manual responds to this with the right specs for future.

Did you use the spring and small friction disk first in? I originally did not (used a standard friction disk) and had lots o squeeling when engaging under load. I swapped the small friction and spring in last weekend and will test tommorow to see if squeeling goes away.

I haven't finished the install yet. I was debating the small disc/spring myself. Let me know how that works out.

Thanks.

OK, I just talked to the dealer, he said 72 inch-pounds for both bolt types and he said to definitely use the skinny plate and spring. He also mentioned to put the steels in the same way they came out. (I guess they have a bit of a cup, or shape to them)f

I hope this helps.
