Torque Limiter

I’ve got 2 torque limiters here one from my 03 650 and one from a box of spares from a blown 04. Now as I’ve been messing around with the sprag spring (shortening it) I mixed up the torque limiters, from what I’ve read on the site there’s no mention of there being different ones but mine differ slightly (see pics).
I'm not sure which one to put back in now
The one with the thicker smaller cog (on the left) wont slip even with 70Nm on it, the other slips at 16Nm.
I’m inclined to put reshim the one on the right and put that in but didn’t I read somewhere on here about not mixing up the parts?

i think in the earlier versions of bikes did not have a torque limiter, just a solid gear witch was bad. because when the engine would back fire something broke.

you might have one of those.

That’s what I thought as well to begin with.
Disassembling them shows that the centre pin is different (just to confuse you the pin on the right in this photo is the limiter on the left in the earlier post) one has a larger shoulder and has 2 washers under it.
So whats going on here, the machinist at the factory have a bad day?
Also where can I get a shim to fit this from and more importantly what torque should I retighten the centre pin to?

when i redid my '04, i had a hard time finding a local source for a shim that fit, so i chucked the pin in my drill and put them in a vise and used a file to take off .015 from the collar that stops the nut, effectively tightening it up the same as adding the shim. it worked for me.
