today we will be learning about safe use of a rotary file...

LESSON No 1-
always make sure your chosen bit is securely fastened in the chuck of the rotary file, if it is not then the said bit may flail around uncontrollably and then snap off, possibly embedding itself into your ceiling. 8O

sorry taff had to share that with everyone, just wish i had got it on video. :D
anyway thanks for working your magic on my engine again and i will let you know how she goes once ive got it back together again

yeh it was me! Been saving for a used die grinder that does 27,000 revs. my drill did 1,500 so i stuck the rotary file in proclaiming to craig that only my mechanic had used the new tool but i hadn't and i thought 'oh well! it's semi-tight!' next thing it's in the bloody ceiling!

get ya for that one Craig!

regards

Taffy

Those highspeedspindles(biax)are really dangerous tools.I can tell.
I had already 2 times splinters in my eye that had to be drilled out by a medic. Not funny at all, especially when the anesthetic has done it's job.
Actually 3 times, but the third time I got caught by a beltgrinder
I now wear safetygoggles even when unbolting a screw
