All right i got the rear brake hand lever kit for Xmas. Was thinking about install the Z pro clutch. I really think i will miss the engine braking. Please let me know your thoughts. Am i taking the easy way out? I ride in michigan in the sand then schedule a couple of out of state rides. Was there on force ride in Gunnison and did not get a chance to ride the 350 with this clutch installed. Let me know what you guys think?

Tuts will probably call me a big giant you knmow what but i am prepared for it

Have both on a 570 and love them. Still engine brakes just fine. If you have questions beyond that just call Rekluse, they're a cool bunch of people and will readily talk about they're products. I talked to one of them last week that own's
A berg 570 and knows the drill.

I rode that 350 all day long when we went over Pearl Pass and loved the recluse. I would have bought that bike right then if he would have sold it to me.
 
There is no engine braking to miss. Just blip the rpm's up above idle and the clutch will engage and give you engine braking.
 
I have the EXP2 and it takes no time to get used to.
what i tell everybody is doesn't make me a better rider, it makes me ride better.
i set it up to engauge on the most progressive setting and i rarely have the bike freewheel, even after locking the rear up downhill a couple hundred RPM blip and it locks up again.
 
I'll rekluse every bike I ever get. no downside. Have it on 570 as well as other bikes. what they said on engine braking. You will concentrate on the other parts of riding better and lose some fatigue. Also you can slap the rear brake anytime and change directions with the back of the bike. Sure you can just pull the clutch, but now you'll do it more accurately and more often.

Haven't tried the extra brake lever. I think I"d like the front brake lever to add some rear brake power. Is that possible? I definitely don't want an additional brake lever on the handlebars.
 
It's a good question, I've been wondering about it myself.

What kit are people using? The one that replaces the clutch slave with the adjustable one?
It does look like a nice bit of kit, but is it worth it?
I slip my clutch a fair amount coming out of slow corners when I'm in a high gear and getting lazy at the end of a race.
Is it something that will need constant adjustment?

I've read all the positives, but there must be a trade off?

you can still slip the clutch.
I have had to re-adjust it a few times, which takes 10 minutes and could be done anywhere if you have two allen wrenches
 
The guy from Recluse told me that they'd put them in bikes for a MX team, and after the race asked the riders how they liked them, and they didn't know they were in there. If they're adjusted right, you don't lose anything you have now with a hand clutch. Except maybe bump starting, I believe that's the case.

Also, had they been in an Enduro or Hare Scrambles instead of MX, they probably would have caught on, at least I would have, because I kill my engine often when I'm worn out.
