Tires for the 570

Finally wore the rear tire on the 570 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good allround tire suitable for the Berg.
I do alot of single track in NSW AUST and find it difficult to find a good tyre that lasts more than 150 km's. ????????

I run Dunlop D952 Rear & Bridgestone M403 Front , they seem to be a good all round combination for the trails down here in Melbourne, but at the moment there's not many go places to ride, as most of the bush has gone up in smoke.
Also i use a Trials tyre on the rear Pirelli MT 43 , it feels a bit wierd at first but the traction up hills is out of this world.
Combination of the bikes configuration & the trials tyre allow you to go up any hill at snails pace, the bike is so well balanced you can climb up them just of idle.

Maxxis IT is my all round favorite. Reasonable cost, good performance and exceptional good wear.

Good traction from a Trial tyre is no wonder. But how is the behavior cornering? what pressure you are using?

Thanks!

Tyre pressure around 9-11 psi .
Cornering feels a bit wierd ,but once you get over the mind game its buisness as usual .

Did you try to corner really hard and really low, MX style?

Those tires looks square to me and without any bite on the sides, this is why I wonder..

Thanks!

I have been a big fan of the pirelli MT 18 heavy duty tires over the last several years with much satisfaction and success, but, they have now been replaced with the Scorpion XC mid hard heavy duty tires.

The only problem that I see with using the 120/100 rear on my 570, is that the tire is pretty close to the shock guard. I'm going to try a 140/80, which is the size that the bikes are delivered in europe with to try and gain a bit more room between the tire and the shock guard. Other wise the new incarnations of these tires work as good as their predecessors. However, the side wall construction does not appear to be as stiff on the XC's as the old MT 18's.

The MT18 is great performer, but at very high cost of wear. On my 250 I finish this tire in 10 hours ride...on the 570 I don't believe it will last more then 5...

Just buy one and try it, you'll have a ball.

Dunlop 952s and BS 201 or Dunlop 744 work well for me on 650 and 501 in all conditions and wear well.

On the way :D

Hey GOTCHYA

I have some spare tractor tyres that you could try but probably will still struggle with the power of the 570
Maybe you should try to use some throttle control and stop roosting everyone  then the tyres will last longer!!

952's for me!!
