Tighten crank bolt issue

Hello

Im wondering if there are any guides on how to check on the crank bolt? Ive heard that the 2008 Bergs have a problem where the crank bolt will loosen and **** up your bike, and I wanna check on mine.

And correct me if im wrong, but there are two bolts, the upper one should be tightened with 110nm, and the bottom one with 130nm?

Thanks

guide? pull the water pump, kickstarter and shifter and clutch cover. iirc, the nut is a 31mm.
then, after reassuring yourself and getting a good night's sleep finally, reassemble and nick the water pump seal so that it leaks, and allow the kickstarter pawl to come off, jamming the kickstarter and repeat. happy new year!

I'm very thankful for all the counseling I get, and you may have noticed I am green as hell when it comes to mechanical work :p The most advanced thing I have done to a car is refill the engine oil...

But if I read the manual correctly, it's these nuts (6) and (7) that I have to check up on?

Sounds good! This is the first 4stroke I have owned and taken care of, so lets hope I learn to maintain it as I go :)

There are some cool solutions on this board if you look around. I think Spanner installed a lock washer behine the nut and crimped it to prevent loosening. For me, Locktite is my friend along with regular inspection.
