i forgot cant hear the ticking when sitting on the bike or dont notice it when riding just when listen to motor
thanks again dazza

Probaly normal, but if you find that the valves are getting loose between adjustments, causing the extra noise, then you have a problem with the roller followers and you need to fix it ASAP. I have found that Delo 400 oil prolongs their life considerably compared to Mobil 1R4T in my 501 and no problems as yet in my 07 650.

well i worked out what the noise was. the timing chain just put new one in noise gone. love it they say it's onily good for 5000ks easy job took 2 hours buy the way put in orange berg weep hole kit in awesome. it took about 80ks then no more oil

if it's a pre 2004 it may well be a cam follower bearing. itherwise it's a tappet you need to have a look at.

oh  IMHO of course!
