Im having a noise around the head cover. I have had two husabergs one 400 and this one the 501, in both i have always hear that kind of noise like tick tick i though it was normal in husabergs but a friend has told me that maybe the rollers of the rocker arm are bad. Ive checked the tensioner chain and its good and in the second click so the chain is in good shape. The bike start always just when you push the button and in the first kick always easily and everything else its good apart this noise. Check the video to hear that sound.

owning a bike like the berg isn't for a worrier. it's a noisy engine. it's always a good idea to know the condition of potential problem areas such as cam and cam follower bearings. this is a relatively easy job that gets easier with practice and involves removing the rocker cover and doing a visual inspection. this is especially important on an engine with unknown history.

You can run it for a moment with the valve inspection caps off and listen.

Sounds like loose tappets, usually that means the bearings are worn.

Any time you check the valves at regular intervals and find them even a little loose, further inspection is called for.

The pins wear first, as they are stationary and wear only on the bottom. As they and the needles wear, the clearances will loosen up.

if the tappets are loose the bike will start easily at first kick or when you just press the start button ? I think that the valve clearances maybe are fine because the bike start very very easy cold or warm. is there any chance that the bike start easily and the valve clearances are out of tolerances ?

Valve adjustment screw?
if they are worn you will have a similar sound.
