Thumper Racing 610 kit.

they've infected me with the same ...

Its the least I could do:D

Where the case halves join has a small burr or imperfection, which makes it hard to get the liner in there. Its just a clean up, a light sanding with p600 or a fine half round file.

Only if you promise not to laugh at my lack of speed/style/ability, I can go Fast in straight lines, sometimes not even in straight line at low speed (fkn trees)

G'day berglsmerg glad to hear you re enjoying the thumper racing kit.
I was looking at the 660 kit for the 570 as that will be my next bike.
My 628 puts out 75hp thanks to head work and a end cap mod on the standard muffler, but I still want to see what I can do with the 570
Enjoy, regards, OZTERBERG.

I fitted up the 390 air box today which gives an extra 60mm resonance length and a tidy bell mouth. Using the seat of my pants dyno I can report;

The hole in the bottom end power delivery made by the cam has been bridged, the off idle response is smoother and the wheelie machine has made a return. There could be merit in too short an inlet tract producing a "double charge" when the mixture mass reverts against a closed valve.

It starts easier, f@cked if I know but it does, simple as that.

It sounds TITS !!! Tourist if you think the insistent, metallic, death vader-esque is the business now, well it doesn't menace or imply, it IS evil incarnate dressed in Armani.:)

Good to know that my ***-dyno is not lying to me. I have the same results.

While it may improve off idle performance and mid range, I don't think it helps on top. I had the one I have on my bike on the real dyno not the super high tech *** dyno and found it did not help my top end HP actually hurt it a horse or two. My thought is the velocity stack gets too close to the filter, hurting the ability to get the air into the stack. I have the FX450 boot it too has the velocity stack.

For my application I wish I could find a larger throttle body that was plug and play. Mine is already bored out and I also run a Suzuki injector(more flow):ninja:.

That's great info, thanks. For what I do cleaner throttle response off the bottom is better than the wailing top end, but now I have both I can swap at will. Besides Compared to a stock 570 I can afford to loose a little right up top:eek:

I have the feeling my bike still has less torque/ midrange compared to before with stock piston....
Also a lot less smooth throttle response on lower revs maybe this 390 airbox helped just a little now....
My bike is yet to get mapped on dyno but have little time lately...
If I am not happy about result I will probably go back to stock next year (piston).
I also just finished my seathole mod but didn't ride the bike with hole in the seat yet waiting on parts I lost on previous ride:eek:
