THROTTLE CABLE & BEND TUBE, 03 FE400, KTM PART #?

I need to replace my throttle cable, including the 'tube bend' on my '03 FE400. Is the cable and / or the tube a common part with any KTM model? If so where do I get the part number cross reference?

Getting parts for my Berg is a nightmare in the Toronto area!

Go to bikebandit.com,

Using the Husaberg part number from the parts manual do a OEM Husaberg part search with the part number. If there are any KTM cross reference parts they will be listed.

The part number that appears will usually not be a KTM part number but you will know the year and model that uses the same part.

Thank's for the suggestion but Bike Bandit has '04's and up! The 03 is still a Dellorto, 04's were already KEIHIN carbs.

It usually doesn't matter. Their KTM parts go back quite a ways. The Husaberg parts catalog in the computer goes all the way back to the beginning but the schematics start at 2004.

Another way is to look up the schematics on a bike that you think may be similar.

Try a 2000 KTM 660 Rallye. Anything that uses a Dellorto carb and Domino throttle will probably be the same.

Anything that uses the LC4 motor is probably a good place to start.

For internal engine parts try something that uses the RFS motor.

I looked at LC4 schematics, it too uses a DELLORTO, but the tube bend does a 45 instead of a 90.

You can lead a horse to water.........................

Keep an eye out on Ebay, last week I purchased a complete new Domino throttle assembly for 10 bucks + shipping. Sorry its not for sale.

I'll keep looking along the path you have laid before me. Hey, if I wanted to get parts easily I would have bought a Honda!

Cheers

Any dealer can get both parts for you. I just ordered and recieved them both. There are several dealers here that will ship to you.

the one on my 650 that's for sale has one that's like new. buy my bike :multi:. think of the spares you'd have!
