I don't really know wtf, but I'm starting to think that my bike is going nuts.

One day my friend had a test ride with it and came back soon with a huge smile on his face. Put the beast in garage and we walked outside to have a small conversation. Suddenly starter motor just spinned, and we rushed into garage to see who the hell was going to have a short life. There was nobody, only exhaust fumes, dash lights blinked and starter motor spinning down. We scratched our heads and grapped beer and went to pub.

Today I came back to home after doing little street SM riding. Scaring the living **** out of people. Just as I turn to my apartment, during heavy deacceleration, bike just shutted down and feel huge pop and flash under the seat.
Just my luck again. Pulled all fuses and everything checks ok and bike started before you can even say wtf.

Right now all I can do is drink beer and hope that the bike doesn't cut when I'm doing wheelie at 100mph.

Well that's just the beginning in a series of my punishments for you since you scare the crap out of old ladies...

My guess is that you have the beginning of a quite severe short circuit/-s somewhere... :?

I hate to worry you, but I had to have the entire loom on my '11 FE570 replaced when it short-circuited itself. A search on this forum suggested that a couple of other bikes have gone the same way ...

There are a number of known places where the harness/wires rub against the frame and/or are pinched and can cause problems. One of them is under the seat. I had one - it took a couple of days for my dealer to find it - it caused a fault with the ECU/EFI and caused it to run like the engine was always cold.
