I first installed the Clarke tanke  and finally got tired of the weight forward and the ugly look. I recently ordered an underseat tank from the BOSS. I called him after fooling around with it for a while and found out it was originally for the 501 but would fit with some work. What? A challenge? OK! It actually fit rather well, I just needed to come up with some decent brackets to mount it. The bracket on the frame at the top of the roost deflector had to be cut off. Then I found some leftover handguard brackets that I screwed together with some rubber in between for the side mounts. For the rear support I used a hose clamp. I ran the vent hose up to the steering head and inserted an old Mikuni pilot valve into the end of the hose to keep it from spitting gas under braking. We'll see how she works!

I removed my starter and battery so I made a simple bracket to mount it next to the rear shock.

I have a complete picture gallery of an under seat tank install. For those of you who like the e-button, here is a picture of what I did: http://www.husaberg.org/index.php?set_a ... _photo.php

I've had this set up for two years and it works perfectly. I also routed the vent hose up to the main tank with a fitting from Clarke so the fuel that will vent off the lower tank go back in to the main tank. The factory directions are crap.

For those of you who need really long range, the BOSS tank holds 4.3 US GAL and the under seat tank .75 US GAL. I'm getting almost 200 miles of range. Its a lot more than I need but I've had rides where some of the bikes were running out and I was able to help them extend their range.

Do you have a parts number for this tank? Is it the infamous #160187-01?
What did you do with your Clarke Boss off-road big tanks? Bet it's long gone...
Nice MOD cheers keep on berging!
