I thought I would put up my 1st post on the TT forum just saying it was my first post and if any body had SEM problems they could ask me for free advice.
I logged back on some time later to find that they had taken it off, what a set of sad B····rds unlike the people that run the show here. I don't think I shall be bothering there again.

Regards

Sparks.

You didn't pay our $300.00 monthly ad bill with them???

Whenever I see someone over there that is having stator issues I always advise they should contact you. :D

It's just the difference between a site designed to make money and a site designed to lose money :)

I've never been thrilled with the way that the mods/admins sometimes handle it, but for someone that's trying to make money with a site, I don't get mad when they disallow commercial links/comments/etc.. A lot of the time, it's just the overzealous moderators that make it a little tough to handle. There is a nice way to put posts in line with the site's rules.

As long as you understand that they are your competitor, regardless of what you sell, then you'll be alright.

thanks,

But that's just it Jyson I wasn't advertising anything just saying hello and and offering some free advice, or being just who I am says it all.

Hi there sparks,

I understand completely. That was why I stated the part about the overzealous mods & admins. Their primary reason for existence is to make money. Sometimes they get a little excited when they see posts that they view as counterproductive to their goal.

thanks,

And thank you Kzoo for the under cover advertising on my behalf top man. I think with the notorious name the SEM has got for not being very reliable, I think some people think I'm doing ten a day but really it works out at about two a week but there again over the year thats not bad at all.

RE: Re: RE: The other 4 stroke forum

perhaps you should have mentioned it in the occasional post in answer to someone's woe's as you do here?

i know...it's easy to be wise after the event!

Sparks, Bryan Wilson is the owner of TT, and his site as well as the online store attached is his business. He makes money out of the stuff he sells as well as the advertisement and classies.

In return he manages that site and it is pretty complex at time, I know, because I have done some pinch-hitting for him, basically fixing bad code.

There are many other sites just like that, KTM Talk is one of them. I used to webmaster for a trade publishing company and you would not believe how even more money motivated these people are. They would not include your products and/or services if you did not already advertise or if they were not trying to get you as an advertiser.

Hobby-related Web sites like TT & KTM Talk are a lot less aggressive but they do follow this business model to a certain extent. KTM Talk will not prevent you from posting that type of message, they are a bit less $$$ oriented, I have to admit.

Note this has not prevented us (me included) from giving good reviews and credits about your services. I would expect that you got a few more clients thanks to us.

I guess that if you contacted them you would be able to find a way to advertise for them at a good cost.

I fixed the part that was misworded!
