Having asked al lot of questions during the last month about the conversion of FE550S 2004 into supermoto, i finally succeded my target. the only thing that i didn't calculate right from the begining, was that i had to change also the brake pump. the caliber remained the same (brembo), i put 320mm brake disk from LC4 put the brakes wasn't so good and was very dangerous on the road. After a serious slide of the front wheel while braking, i decided to change the brake pump and put the 2005 radial supermoto husaberg pump. The result was great!! There is no dangerous inertia like the enduro pump, is stronger, better feeling, and more powerful brakes that makes you think there is no need for the expensive 6 piston Beringer. the only thing that is missing is a good brake disk with a magnet for the speedometer. does anyone know a shop that can mail brake disks for Husabergs in Cyprus?
The 5' rear rim also fitter and it's fine and the chain does not chew the 160/60 Pirelli supercorsa pro rear tyre!
The fork is the enduro but with the pressure to the maximum, is sufficient and safe for supermoto but it wasn't before i change the pump. that's because you don't have the right feeling when braking on the road with an enduro pump and you always brake more than the requested (as is too soft) and the bike dives a lot! Cheers to Simon for his advices and to all the chaps in the forum.
