Got the berg FE450e out lots of times this past week. probably put 80 miles on it over two days at Clear Creek earlier this week, before Turkey day. Clear Creek is this well known huge wide open place with big oatmeal hill climbs and plenty of tight manzanita bush single track too.. ..you can see the extremes here in this pic. the open play area with the wooded hillside in the background.

The bike really has woken up with a bark. It climbs hills super now even with my weight, 250lbs, as I have learned the tranny. The bike is fast, smooth fun and it's so jedi light and flickable in the tight stuff. It's a great ride!. To close out the week today I got some great dark dirt snowy single track woods riding in here in my local Sierra Nevada Ride spot Elkins Flat 4 days of riding this week. What fun!

Great post Bob!

Man! that single track in the snow looks great.

Did you get that rubbing muffler sorted?

Dan, my dealer gave me a new tire, a metzler MX tire for free with install suggesting that the tire rub may have been due to the wide outside knobs on the stock euro E-tire. This new mettzler tire is narrower then the stock tire but not as skinny as asay a michlen S12 110 is.

anyways I had allready installed longer muffler mount bolts on my bike with some nylon spacers on my muffler mounts, shimming it out a good 1/2" more from the stock position. I'm glad I shimmed it out because, I think even that new tire would have rubbed.

with my shimmed out mounts, I have no rubbing now at all.

I would like to hear from other 2006 Husaberg owners. My guess is since they narrowed in the gas tank in 06, that they had to narrow in the rear frame too, so that the hips matched the new thinner profile, and in doing so they created a rubbing situation.

just got in some more pics from my buds over at Thumpertalk

Here's is some early winter wonderland. We got just a brushing of snow. Some guys must have ran these trails yesterday to open them up. We got it perfect today. Good tacky dirt on the trail while we float thru smowy trees. sureal fun
