I installed a new steel Ironman Sprocket today along with the grade 10 sprocket bolts they carry. I went from a 48 to 50 tooth as it is no longer necessary to do 100mph down a sand wash at my age  . Until your post I had never heard of this brand. It fit perfectly and comes with a one year warranty. I could not believe how beat up the old aluminum sprocket was. The sprocket bolt nuts were also elongated (ovaled) severely.

If this works out like I think it will I may have to kick the aluminum habit for good.

You will not believe how long they last, I have over 5000miles on an Ironman sprocket (rear) it has just started to show wear (like a 1/64"), but since they are hardened all the way through it should easily go another 1-2 thousand miles before needing replacement.

Husabutt,

Thanks for the post. Ummmm, just to let you know, the sproket bolts are elongated b/c they are mechanical lock nuts and they're supposed to be like that.
