the graphics are kinda weak, but lets see if my reply post works.

ya editing works too :D :iagree:

Thanks for the great post Bob. You never let us down.

and it's weak. Weak.

thanks,
json

the face of the actual posts in the forums has the good quality graphics like the old site. I was talking about the main home page where the lists of the latest threads are. I always start there. I figured the new site sparce look of the home page was a temporary move-in look that's all. If the home page stays sparce looking like it is now, that's fine it still works.

To be completely honest, I'm digusted with the site in general. With the new system, I lose all of the modules I created as well as the others that were created by 3rd party for the old portal system. PostNuke's development in accessories, both by the developers and by the user base is pathetic. As well, although this system is more advanced out of the box in terms of security and ease of use, after the changes I had made to the old system, this one is like a small child's attempt at matching it. No more security(IP blocks, script exploitation protection), dealers module, donation module, members list, all gone now. I could go on, but it's kind of pointless. It is what it is.

Once I've done what I can to get the site usable, I'll begin making it look less like a site driven by a template that was made in 15 minutes, and maybe then I won't feel so pissed off.

thanks,
json

Json!!!! HEY!!!! Dude, you're doing a great job. We're all patient, take your time. The fact that we can communicate is the most important part. We are here to help other fix bikes and talk about bikes. I won't be the end of the world if I can't find out where Taffy is on the map :)

Keep up the good work, keep your belly full of coffee, and keep the wife happy ;)

PS- I joined in March 2003, not Aug 25, 2006 :))

You funny guy!

Keep up the great work, we ALL appreciate it. Just make sure you spend some time with the family too.

Json,
You are a tireless public servant...you deserve better.

I'm sure there are tons of passive readers like me that pop on, glean what we need and disappear without even posting our thanks. Sorry mate.

Irony is that I just shoe-horned a Recluse into my '03 FE400 on 8-27 PM...What’s that you say, there used to be a "Recluse threadâ€Â

What Grok, bigbob, Parsko, Ady, Supermototeam, Kelsow, and sean said.

We love ya man.

get this thing done so you can get in shape for Moab. Please.

other than the narrow area for messages (only takes up half of screen), and the fact that I can't seem to find the gallery, I like it. But a don't rally care about graphics. Keep it Simple Schwim.

Hi there guys,

I didn't mean to turn the test thread into a party for me. It's just a little frustrating to take such a large step backward, that's all. I appreciate all of the kind words, and also thank you guys for being as understanding as you are.

tm, I've got to find a way to remove the right-block retainer on forums, but until I get a chance to do that, if you'll click "Maximize" at the top of the forum page, it will remove the surruounding page completely, and you'll be left with a full screen forum. If you want the site back, just click "minimize".

The gallery's been moved over, but the albums are not handling the move very well. I'm working on it.

thanks,
json

Hi there Joe,

It's still the payment address. I tried to install a donations system last night, but as has been the case with everything so far, I got an error that I can't seem to get rid of. As soon as that's taken care of, we should have some form of official system again.

You're awesome sir, and I appreciate it.

thanks,
json

hello json

i get returned after a post to the list in any of our forums such as if i've replied to a 'mechanical' question, i get returned to the list of mechanical subjects and not the overall list of recent threads.

hope this helps

taffy

Does this happen to anyone else? I get returned to the thread.

Are you using the quick reply or the advanced reply, taff?

thanks,
json
