Test inspector fails stamped vin number

I have a Husaberg fe650 motard which i bought in Germany with all the paperwork and took to the testing station here in the Netherlands to register. The tester failed the bike as the last three numbers of the "stamped" vin number did not line up perfectly so must have been tampered with, even though the plated is right next to it. I know these were handmade bikes and the vin was hand stamped so does anyone else have a similiar "unperfectly" alligned number?
Thanks.

Yep. Mine is a 2005 model. Anyone else have a similiar one in a picture i can show the inspector?

Try a different tester if that is possible. Some people are just lazy or stupid.

Inspector appears to have previously been employed by the California DMV.

Not all is lost in California. We can buy new Green Sticker bike. Those have to be smog legal. You can ride off road all year long. If your bike has a Green Sticker it’s Grand Fathered so your still legal till they change the law.......
