I spoke to terry a coupla years ago and he was talking about how the WP progressive spring was too harsh too soon and not a real progressive at all. I see that Terry now sells his own which I take it are sorted how he suggested to me.

so, has anyone tried one? presumably they are best tried on a pre-2006.

I had them do the Suspension on my 05 FE550E in March this year. They fitted a Race Tech progressive spring and a new telescopic needle that is meant to make the shock more progressive and consistant. I also had the front done with new springs, Gold valve, and KYB seals. Went to stiffer spring rates at both ends.
It is a lot better, the rear tracks really well and doesn't kick, I haven't spent enough time setting it up properly riding over the same loop but I reckon it is close to spot on in the rear.
The front is heaps better as well doesn't deflect like it used to. I still lack cornering feel in the front, I think it needs a steering damper and a skinny tank after riding ORANGEBERGS 650 as the front on it was rock solid, I instantly felt better on his bike than I ever have on my 550 it was awesome.

that's a lot of changes in one go. But an RT spring isn't a Terry Hay spring....wrong section. condoms are on the left, second isle sir! :D

That is the spring he recommended. I gave them all of my relavent info, sent the suspension to them they tested it and changed to suit.
I'm happy with the results.

I knew of the kayaba seals on the front and the showa bump stopper on the rear....another thing to test!

could try NOST, gold valve etc etc. the list goes on.
