Tell us more about the 07 cranks, counterbalancers and cases

Hi all :) ,
As Husaberg has seen fit to make some changes to cases, cranks and counterbalancers for 07, it sure would be nice to have a bit more information about the mods.

Ie. Cases and counterbalancer changed- does this mean Husaberg have finally moved the counterbalancer from tha crankshaft, and maybe extended the case castings to allow the LHS main to run right next to the crank web ?? wouldnt that be good ? But where would they run a counterbalancer if that were the case?. Perhaps the new cases have provision for a counterbalancer elsewhere ( but I cant pick this in the pics)

Crankshafts- they changed the 650 (and maybe 450) cranks in 06 to a 35mm pin. Supposedly more changes in 07- does this mean the 550 now sports the 35mm pin too ?

Surely someone out there in Husaland can give us more info on this years upgrades- or do we have to wait for JBS or Dale to strip one for us before we find out ?? :?:

Purely a guess:
Perhaps Husaberg did as KTM and moved the balance assembly forward of the crankshaft?

Nah, after viewing the pictures such does not appear to be the case. Perhaps they have simply sucked it up, removed the balance assembly and properly balanced the crankshaft? :D

I have no idea why upgrades remain shrouded in mystery on post production machines. Perhaps simply to keep one interested?

If it was truly "Big News" their would be more crowing.

After reading the annouced changes its seems that they have reinforced the alu around the main bearings (making it thicker (?)) to reduce flex, put a new (sligthly redesigned (?)) counterbalancer (maybe at same place...) using a new type of bearing also to reduce flex.

As for the crankshaft i dont have any idea what they did exactly to it...maybe its "closer" to left side crankcase and balancer (if that is possibe...maybe it is depending how exactly is made the new balancer and how it interacts with crankshaft) to reduce flex ?!?

Anyway, im also very curious to really see pics of the crankcases, the balancer and its bearing and to know exactly the details about crankshaft mods...like also to see mods to gearbox (comparison pics of all old parts modified and new ones would be nice).
