Hello friends. I just purchased my first berg a 2012 te300. Was sitting for a year or so and I only heard it run roughly for about 10 seconds before it shut down and I took it anyway. Given it had been sitting I thought a quick clean of the carby would sort it out. I was wrong
The perplexing thing is I have spark ( stator was a bit rusty so cleaned up and giving good blue spark now - gap 0.6)
I have fuel because the plug is dripping wet after a few kicks. So much so I had to empty about a glass full of fuel out of the expansion pipe after a day of kicking with no result. The only thing I did was clean everything when I got the bike home, before I raised a spanner to it, because it was filthy and I did lay it over on it side whilst pressure cleaning underneath, not sure if that may have caused an issue? There is no obstruction in the airbox and the silencer is clear. I always loved two strokes for their simplicity but this has got me baffled. I’m leaning towards the carby delivering too much fuel and it is unable to start? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciate.
cheers
