My 300 bucks a bit in the 30-50% throttle range. Ive cleaned the carb multiple times with no improvement. I suspect I need to tweek my jetting. Currently it is still stock. I ride in VA, WV, MD and PA so sea level to 1500 feet?
It idles perfectly and and accelerates very smoothly under heavy throttle. It just doesnt like it when I'm holding the rpm's at the mid range to maintain speed. Any thoughts.

Thanks

Chris

I know nothing about this but my mate has a orange version.

I asked him about his jetting as some of the 300s are real thirsty but his sips fuel.
He told me all he does is drop the needle one slot all other jetting is standard.

Worth a try as it costs noting but a few minutes in the garage.

thats exactly what i was doing tonight right up to the point the needle e-clip shot off across the shed when i held the needle up to read the code. :(

also of interest the previous owner, a very good rider, had fitted a N8rh needle, which is something i've heard has good results.

i have the same thing with the surging with 30-50% power on have you adjusted your jetting and dose it help? i need to smooth it out somehow as I'm changing it over to supermoto in the next week

ok i went and adjusted my needle today i moved it up 1 notch and have to say it worked no more surging and its cured a knocking i had in the head too i though it was running to lean and this wouldn't work but i tried it anyways and by my amazement its worked i just need to check out my main jet to see about my top end revs but couldn't get the damn carby all out so i'll save that for another day thanks for the info above
