do the tank panels from the newer models i.e the ones with only half a hole, if you know what I mean fit the older bikes 2002/03

if you mean the '06 onwards unless you also have the 'o6 onwards tank it aint goin to work
 
is that right? then i apologise, i thought they did?

must be thinking of that late rear No Plate holder.
